Dr. Fabian M. Faulstich’s work bridges mathematics, quantum chemistry, and computational methods to push the boundaries of how we simulate and understand complex systems.
Specializing in quantum many-body problems, he develops advanced numerical methods for both classical and quantum computers, creating faster and more accurate algorithms that drive innovation in chemistry and materials science.
He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from the Technical University of Berlin, completed a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry and Applied Mathematics at the University of Oslo, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley before joining RPI in 2023.
